The little guide · By Dr. Baby

A breastfeeding tracker for time and side

Use the timer during a feed or enter the start time and duration afterwards. Choose left, right or both for the session you want to record. If you want separate durations for each side, save them as separate entries. The log keeps the information you enter; it does not detect feeding automatically.

Time does not measure milk intake

A recorded duration is not a volume measurement. Babies feed differently, and a longer session does not automatically mean more milk transferred. This tracker does not estimate ounces, assess latch or determine whether feeding is adequate. Use a feeding professional or your baby’s care team for those questions.

Keep the context that matters

A simple record may help you recall the last side or discuss a pattern. Use the feeding and diaper journal when you also want diaper events or free-text notes. For milk expressed with a pump, use the separate pumping tracker with volume fields. Timing sessions are held only while this page is open; completed sessions are stored locally only when you press Save feeding. Export a copy before switching devices.
